PERFECT PEACE

I wrote a bible study on Perfect Peace during the holidays and didn’t know how relevant that bible study would be for the times we are living in right now. One of the fruits of the spirit that is offered to all of us is God’s “PEACE”. The peace of Christ is given to us no matter the circumstances that we may experience in life. God’s word tells us that peace is not defined as the “absence of trouble” in our life, but by the peace God has given us while experiencing every situation – rather good or bad.

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD God is an everlasting rock. Isaiah 26:3-4

Isaiah 26:3 says that in order for us to experience Perfect Peace, we must have our mind steadfast and stayed on HIM. If you don’t keep your mind on the LORD, you will be a victim to what’s going on around you. The negative situations that you experience in life will be much more difficult for you to handle and the anxiety, fear, and stress will overtake you. A lot of us will be witnessing others and perhaps ourselves going through job loss, financial upheaval, and illness with the issue plaguing the entire world today. But GOD tells us that we must have a dependence on GOD like never before. In Isaiah 26:4, the word “trust” means leaning on GOD for everything in your life for He will ordain peace in your life. In today’s pandemic, the anxiety/fear is real – but when you find yourself fearing a negative situation – bring yourself back to focusing on HIM.

Scripture Reading:

Isaiah 26:3-4 (You keep Him in Perfect Peace)

John 14:27 (peace I leave with you)

Joshua 1:9 (do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed)
